Bruce Kershner has been at the forefront of financial services recruiting for over two decades with a concentration on Community Banking. U.S. Search, a national recruiting firm, enlisted Bruce to spearhead their coverage of the financial services sector beginning in 1985. In this capacity, he developed a thriving practice representing companies in banking, investment banking and commercial real estate.

In 1987, Bruce founded Kershner & Co. with the aim of providing faster, more personalized service to his client companies. Then, in 1998, SNL Financial (formerly SNL Securities), the industry leader in Financial Publishing, recognized the strengths and abilities of Kershner & Co. and decided to buy a piece of the company. The resulting partnership added tremendous breadth to both organizations.

Since January of 2001, Kershner & Co. has decided to go back to its roots as an independent organization. In over two decades, this unique boutique firm has placed hundreds of senior level executives in the highest echelons of the industry's most respected financial institutions.
